Farmington Business Fire Elm St, 6-21-2017
around 11:00am on Wend June 21st, Farmington. with Lakeville and Rosemount on Auto-aid were toned for a structure Fire at an auto Repair shop. Chief 1 arrived and reported a working structure Fire with heavy fire showing from a 2 stall auto body shop. Command requested Northfield, and Apple valley start to the scene with Ladder trucks. Farmington Engine 1 arrived established there own water supply and was ordered to start there deck gun into one of the service bays. Rosemount Engine 21 arrived and = set up there own water supply on the Alpha, Delta Corner and start protecting the offices portion of the business on the Charlie Delta corner. Farmington Engine 22 arrived and positioned behind Engine 1. Lakeville Ladder 1 was positioned on the alpha side and set up there water tower. once the water tower was set up crews were withdrawn from the building due to deteriorating conditons. Northfield Ladder 8118 arrived and set up nose in with Lakeville ladder 1, and set up there ladder pipe as well they were supplied by Rosemount Engine 21. Due to unknown chemicals burning inside the Dakota county special Operations team was requested to the scene bringing in hazmat units from Eagan and Rosemount. With limited daytime staffing Command requested an additional Ladder and engine From Apple Valley, an additional engine from Lakeville, an Engine from Eagan and Hastings, and an Engine from Prior Lake. Allina EMS staffed 2 rigs and a supervisor onsite for firefighter vitals and rehab assistance. Units onscene: City of Farmington, Minnesota Fire Department Engine 1, Engine 22, Utility 1, Utility 2, Rescue 1, Chief 1, Chief 4.
